On newsstands, the latest issue of Rosie, comedian Rosie O'Donnell's update on McCall's magazine, sticks out like-well, like the sore finger she brandishes on its cover, swathed in sterile gauze. On every side, other women's glossies feature faultless, airbrushed visions of femininity with come-on cover lines like, "The Bikini Bible" and "His and Her G Spots." But devoid of makeup and wrapped in a plaid bathrobe, O'Donnell holds aloft her bandaged hand and promises to tell all about her battle against a virulent microbe under the title "Staph is no laugh!"
