Urban tourism precincts can be defined as 'an area in which various attractions such as bars, restaurants, places of entertainment or education, accommodation, amenities and other facilities that are clustered in freely accessible public spaces. Tourism precincts by their nature enhance certain aspects of the touristic experience and facilitate social interaction between tourists and locals'. In this well-written book, Hayllar, Griffin and Edwards compiled works with the framework based on the following questions: • How is the understanding of the interactions of tourists and locals in urban settings?
