QP push for LNG vessels

QATAR Petroleum (QP) has launched a mega-tender to charter liquefied natural gas vessels for its future shipping needs, including the ongoing North Field Expansion (NFE) projects that by 2027 will boost the company's LNG production capacity to 126 million tonnes per annum from the current 77 million tpa. QP has issued an invitation to tender (ITT) to a large group of LNG vessel owners, aimed at selecting "world-class" owners for the long-term time charter of carriers to satisfy the future requirements of QP and its subsidiaries.
