BP gets go-ahead to spud

UK supermajor BP is set to spud the Ironbark-1 exploration well off Western Australia next month after obtaining all the required regulatory approvals. Joint venture partner Cue Energy Resources confirmed BP's well operations management plan and the safety case for the jack-up Ocean Apex have been approved by the National Offshore Petroleum Safety & Environmental Management Authority.
