ExxonMobil and Total stand down PNG teams

EXXONMOBIL and Total have demobilised the majority of their liquefied natural gas expansion technical and commercial staff from Papua New Guinea in a move that will likely further delay the passage of the PNG LNG project to the front-end engineering and design phase. The demobilisatiion is due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the outlook for oil prices, said Oil Search, the main joint venture partner of the supermajors.
