BRAZIL'S Petrobras has awarded UK-based Technip-FMC a coveted contract to supply and install the rigid riser-based system for the Guanabara floating production, storage and offloading vessel in the Mero pre-salt field. The contract covers engineering, procurement and construction of all rigid lines, as well as installation and pre-commissioning of the infield riser and flowline system for interconnecting 13 wells, including six oil producers and seven water-alternating-gas injectors, to the FPSO.
