CHINA Merchants Heavy Industry (CMHI) shipyard is set this month to deliver the hull of a floating production, storage and offloading vessel destined to work on a huge pre-salt development off Brazil. The Sepetiba FPSO, built under the second generation of Dutch floater giant SBM Off-shore's innovative Fast4Ward concept, is destined for the Petrobras-operated Mero-2 project. The floater - which is also denominated as CMHI-220 MPF A - will be towed from CMHI's facility in Haimen in eastern China's Jiangsu province to Tianjin city in northern China for integration with the top-sides at Bomesc Offshore Engineering. Delivery of the full FPSO is expected in March next year. SBM contracted the yard to build the hull for Mero-2 unit in 2018.
