The Libra Consortium has made the Final Investment Decision (FID) to char- ter the Mero-2 Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel to be deployed on the Mero field in the Santos Basin offshore Brazil. The FPSO will have a capacity to process up to 180,000 b/d of oil. The consortium plans to use four new production systems on the Mero field and the Mero-2 FPSO is the second of these.
