RUSSIA'S Lukoil has won an appeal at an arbitration court in Moscow against an order from the nation's federal anti-monopoly service FAS that it should reduce tariffs on oil shipped via its Varandey oil terminal in the Pechora Sea. In a ruling passed at the end of last week, the Moscow Arbitration Court annulled a March decision by the FAS ordering Lukoil to cut the transshipment tariff for Lukoil's oil producing joint venture with state oil company Rosneft, Bash-neft-Polyus. Last year, Rosneft filed an appeal against Lukoil to FAS, arguing Bashneft-Polyus paid an excessive tariff of about $5.20 per barrel to use the terminal.
