PEMEX has launched an international public tender for an engineering, procurement and construction contract for a pair of drilling platforms in the Bay of Campeche - Maloob-E and Maloob-I, writes Kathrine Schmidt. The company's plan for Maloob is to improve recovery and stem declines at the Maloob field - one of Mexico's most productive plays. Mexico's National Hydrocarbons Commission (CNH) in August 2018 signed off on a modified development plan covering some $7 billion of investment over the life of the production assignment, from 2018 to 2034.
