CALIFORNIA regulators have accused US supermajor Chevron of not doing enough to prevent high-volume oil seeps at a steam injection project in Kern County. In an order issued last week, the state's Department of Conservation said Chevron had violated California regulations by allowing the seeps in the Cymric oilfield to occur and directed the company to "take all measures" to stop the flow and to prevent new seeps from happening.
