STATE-CONTROLLED Brazilian operator Petrobras is closing in on a decision to award Malaysia's Yinson and Japan's Modec contracts to provide the two floating production, storage and offloading platforms it is seeking for it Marlim field in Brazil's Campos basin. A price evaluation sheet for the tender showed Yinson came out on top for the larger FPSO with production capacity for 80,000 barrels per day of crude and 7 million cubic metres per day of natural gas, due to start producing in 2022.
