Alpha stays upbeat at Cheviot

ALPHA Petroleum Resources is understood to be hopeful of securing the financing to progress its delayed Cheviot development off the UK even after Teekay Offshore Partners terminated an agreement with the private equity-backed operator for the use of the Petrojarl Varg floating production, storage and offloading vessel. Teekay entered into the agreement with Surrey-based Alpha last October but this was conditional on Alpha funding the costs of upgrades to take place at Semb-corp Marine in Singapore.
