Gulfport in contract spat with Mammoth

US OILFIELD services company Mammoth Energy Services plans to fight Gulfport Energy's attempts to terminate a pressure pumping contract after the US natural gas producer told regulators last month that it had exercised its right to do so. In an 18 December filing with the US Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC), Gulfport said that it terminated the contract with Mammoth subsidiary Stingray Pressure Pumping early because of the service provider's "inability to fulfill or timely cure its obligations" under the agreement.
