THE Chinese government has endorsed a proposal submitted by China Suntien Green Energy to build a liquefied natural gas import terminal to supply northern Chinese cities as part of its effort to boost LNG import handling capabilities in the country's Bohai rim, writes Xu Yihe. The approval, by the National Development & Reform Commission, could pave the way for the 3 million tonnes per annum capacity terminal to start operation in 2021.
