US giant nets Shwe FEED job

US engineering player McDer-mott International has confirmed it has received a front-end engineering and design award for Posco International's third phase of development at the Shwe gas project off Myan-mar, write Xu Yihe and Eoin O'Cinneide. However, sources suggested to Upstream that the operator is carrying out a dual-FEED competition for the project, similar to its strategy for the phase two development, with South Korean yard giant Hyundai Heavy Industries also contracted to perform a FEED study.
