TOP-TIER oilfield services companies are preparing to submit offers for front-end engineering and design linked to the large third-phase development of the Shwe gas project off Myanmar. Phase three of the Posco Daewoo-operated project will focus on the fabrication and installation of a large low-pressure compression platform. The new facility will be anchored by a steel jacket weighing up to 13,000 tonnes plus piles and supporting a topsides of more than 10,000 tonnes. The compression platform will be bridge-linked 111 metres to the existing Shwe offshore drilling, production and processing platform.
