Chance to test data analysis

THE upcoming waves of exploration in Mexico will allow the country's new operators to more broadly test the play concepts that have been generated after years of analysing geological data, writes Kathrine Schmidt. According to the National Hydrocarbons Commission (CNH) regulator, industry spent more $2 billion and several years following the country's energy reforms collecting extensive and high-quality seismic and other geological data. That included multiple high quality shoots in the deep-water sector, great portions of which had seen little exploration.
