CHINA'S leading energy companies PetroChina and Sinopec have launched green energy plans and initiatives to lower carbon dioxide emissions that complement their traditional focus on onshore and downstream project development, writes Xu Yihe. PetroChina is making a splash in the offshore wind sector. The company is developing offshore wind farms in eastern China's Jiangsu province via its offshore division China Petroleum Offshore Engineering (CPOE).
