Major Penglai expansin on the cards

CNOOC Ltd and its production sharing partner ConocoPhillips of the US will further develop their Penglai 19-3 oilfield in Bohai Bay off northern China, aiming to double production over the next few years. Industry officials said operator CNOOC Ltd has lined up plans to install up to 10 new wellhead plat-forms in the Penglai 19-3 oil play as part of the fourth and fifth phases of development of China's largest offshore oilfield.
