Marlim work set to start

BRAZIL'S Petrobras is expected to start demobilising its seven ageing production platforms at the Marlim field in the Campos basin over the next three years, writes Fabio Palmigiani. The Marlim decommissioning project is part of an overall area plan aimed at revitalising operations at the field by removing older facilities and installing a pair of new midsized floating production, storage and offloading vessels that are currently being tendered. Petrobras in late January received commercial bids from Japan's Modec, Canada's Teekay Offshore and Malaysia's Yinson Holdings to supply the two Marlim units.
