ANGLO-DUTCH giant Shell is bracing for yet another lawsuit over alleged malpractice in the course of acquiring Nigerian exploration licence OPL 245 off the Niger Delta. The allegations come from the Dutch Public Prosecutor's Office, which the supermajor said "is nearing conclusion of its investigation". Shell has been informed it may face "criminal charges directly or indirectly related to the 2011 settlement of disputes" surrounding the controversial block, understood to host an upside resource base of more than 9 billion barrels of oil.
