This month's supplement continues our coverage of the aerial target system market. The United Kingdom has selected a team led by QinetiQ as prime contractor for its Combined Aerial Targets Service (CATS) program. The United Kingdom will no longer procure aerial targets individually, but will instead contract with a company to provide these services to its armed forces. Team members include Meggitt, manufacturer of the Voodoo and Banshee aerial targets, and Galileo Avionica, prime contractor for the Mirach 100 drone series. Meggitt remains the most significant supplier of lower end aerial targets in this market. The company has sold drones to over 40 countries. EADS would like to increase its share of the aerial target market and is looking to win more orders from European and Asian nations.
