Turkey has commenced development of its own unmanned air vehicle, but it is also considering purchasing a foreign-built system. The indigenous air vehicle is being designed by TAI. It is known by the tentative designation UAV-X1, but has also been called Witness. The Witness air vehicle will have a wingspan of 6 meters and a length of 4 meters.
