Elements of Advanced Mathematics

This book was sent to me by the publisher because I teach a course called Introduction to Advanced Mathematics (IAM). I recently reviewed several books for such a course [Cargal 2010]. My favorite was Gerstein [2008], and that is what I use.2 I identified a consensus core of topics for such a course: logic, sets, functions, relations, and cardinality. I argued that the IAM course should stick to these topics with only a few additions.
