Australia's New South Wales government will spend more than AUD 650M (USD 685M) over the next financial year on renewing Sydney Water's critical infrastructure and expanding into new urban growth areas, Minister for Finance and Services Greg Pearce said this summer. Pearce said Sydney Waters planned expenditure will provide better and more reliable services across its 45,000km of water and wastewater pipes, more than 800 pumping stations, 265 reservoirs, and 38 treatment and recycling plants.
