Malaysia calls for undersea crossing

Malaysia/singapore: Malysia's Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA) is backing an undersea tunnel as the preferred option for the proposed Rapid Transit System (RTS) linking Malaysia and neighbouring Singapore. However, chief executive Datuk Ismail Ibrahim said the final decision on whether the RTS would include an undersea tunnel or a bridge across the Johore Straits would depend on both countries' governments.
