Just a short drive from the Gouda project the company is also working on a new power connection to a village that involves the placement of three, new 200mm cables using HDD. "The length of this drill is 350m and we have 20 drills on this project. We are using a Vermeer 27t machine which is fairly new," explains site manager Joey Vetter. In fact the machine is Vermeer's latest launch and has one of the greatest power to footprint ratios that the firm has ever produced with 270KN of thrust/pullback, dimensions of 7.9×2.3×2.6, an rpm of 200 and capable of entry angles of 14 to 18 degrees.
