This summer, China offered USD 35bn of funding to finance infrastructure projects in Latin America. The agreement is in motion and is expected to be ready next year. This is one of many examples highlighting the increase of infrastructure investment in developing countries. For example, last year in India (infrastructure demand remains tilted towards India and China) the pace of development in India's water sector leapt forward with the Global Water Intelligence, a market information provider, tracking more than 100 projects that came to tender. This was a first for the country.
