Constructing the Raimeux Tunnel calls for various Excavation Methods

The 3,200 m long tunnel below Mont Raimeux will be the third longest on the A16 national highway-Transjurane. It passes through alternating limestone and marl layers with a number of karst caverns and there is also a long soft ground section in the southern part so that various driving methods are called for, making high demands on site organisation.
