PURPOSE: A construction method of a cut-and-cover tunnel using a vertical side wall and an arched ceiling and a cut-and-cover tunnel using a vertical side wall and an arched ceiling through the same are provided to reduce construction time and costs by improving the structural stability of the tunnel even if the cross section of the tunnel is reduced. CONSTITUTION: A construction method of a cut-and-cover tunnel using a vertical side wall and an arched ceiling is as follows. A space having inclined and vertical parts is formed by excavating the ground of a mountain area along a first inclined excavation line(L1) and a second vertical excavation line(L2). Side walls(11) are installed in the vertical parts of the excavated space. An arched ceiling(12) is installed on the installed side walls.
