Organelle identification and proteomics in plant cells

The recent article by Taylor et al. [1] summarized the current efforts in proteomic exploration of organelle components. Even though several approaches have been tested and used successfully for proteomic analysis of plant organelles including chloroplasts, peroxisomes and mitochondria [2-4], analysis of certain plant organelles is challenging because of their complexity and ambiguous identification.
