Hi, trenchless professionals! We are now living historical times - the ISTT has reached adulthood. We have had a successful change with our guarantors within the reorganising of our society and we made the most important changes during the guarantors meeting in London in December 2019. The affiliated societies have now appointed a person to act as a guarantor for ISTT, meaning our affiliated societies own the ISTT. We now have new articles that have been accepted by Companies House and Charity Commission, with many thanks to Dr Dec Downey for the hard work on this. Now we have to rewrite our bylaws according to our new structure. In April, we will have a guarantors meeting with the old and new guarantors, after which we will have an Advisory Panel who will advise the personnel of ISTT when needed. I can't imagine a better solution for our future. We faced an unusual situation in our organisation when former Vice Chair Matthew Izzard was appointed as an Executive Director for the North American Society for Trenchless Technology (NASTT). I thank Matt for the excellent work he did for ISTT where he was one of the key payers when restructuring was accepted by the guarantors.
