Transportation System and Automotive Engineering

摘要

Road structures are inevitably influenced by size and weight of automobiles. Road geometric design is also decided by friction between tire and road surface in nature. Traffic capacity for several types of roadway section is dependent on drivers' abilities and automobile performances. Transportation System on road automotive traffic will be developed with cooperative studies of traffic engineering and automotive engineering. Each of ITS(Intelligent Transport Systems) and TDM(Travel Demand Management) should be one of the most important fields to be studied.
