摘要

A forged hardening process is introduced for reducing production energy by direct quenching forging press in small size parts such as those for passenger cars. However failure problem has been occurred by the forged hardening process with quenching cracks, warping and soft spot when applying to large size parts such as those for trucks. We conclude that the production cost can be reduced about 25/100 by redesigning the impact properties, selection of material and heat treatment parameters.
