Thirty-four years ago like so many others before and since, I took a job as an office supervisor with a confectionery company and found that I had gravitated into what we now call the logistics industry. Over six years I effectively learned about the own account business overseeing the deliveries of confectionary both wholesale and retail, maintaining stocks and generally keeping the production units fully utilised. Until with the reorganisation of the company this was sold off. I had nine months with the sales team on the road prior to the company being sold.
