Morrisons goes long with Gray & Adams

Supermarket chain Morrisons is taking deliveries of a third batch of longer semitrailers (LSTs) from Gray & Adams, due to enter service in the autumn. The new trailers bring the total number of LSTs at Morrisons to well over 100 under the DfT (Department for Transport) 10-year trial. John Ward, head of engineering at Morrisons, says the extra 15% productivity -four more pallets than a 13.6m single-decker - translates into "tremendous" cost savings.
