Self-driving truck takes animal steer

Researchers at Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden, are taking their inspiration for driverless trucks from mammalian evolution. Their novel truck control system ran for the first time with a Volvo FH16 on the Dutch A270 motorway, between Helmond and Eindhoven at the end of May, under the EU Grand Cooperative Driving Challenge.
