The entry/exit to Aranda at the intersection of Belconnen Way and Caswell Drive was closed on the night of 16 January and, as from the next day, 17 January; access to Aranda was temporarily moved to the eastern (or Canberra City) side of the Gungahlin Drive extension, still under construction. Buses on Routes 40, 41 and 42 now undertake a temporary diversion of 1.1 km via part of the new road to access a restructured Bandjalong Crescent.
