From 20 May, Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Northern NSWrnsuffered flooding from very heavy rains; in Brisbane these were the heaviest for 30 years. On 20 May the Ipswich Line between Darra and Redbank was closed for some time after flooding at Wacol.The line between Ferny Grove and Keperra was closed because of flooding and track damage.
