The Senate inquiry into public transport held its first hearings in Brisbane on 3 March. The BCC Transport Chair told the inquiry that bus patronage would increase in Brisbane by 120% by 2018 and that finance was needed for an expanded BRT network, bigger buses and better transport integration.
