All of the photographs in this photographic feature were taken by John Beckhaus and station information was supplied by Stuart Sharp and Gary Hughes.rnSituated on the northern line 20 km from Sydney, Denistone was one of only a few stations built on existing lines during the 1930's, Wiley Park and Jannali are other examples, and was the last station built on the Short North until construction of the Epping underground station over 70 years later. Virtually untouched over the years, Denistone still retains most its 1930's Interwar Functionalist architecture, and it also has one of CityRail's smallest commuter car parks.
