Canberra's New Redex (Rapid Express Direct) Service - an overview

Canberra's much heralded first Redex service, Route 727, commenced operation on 16 November 2009 for a trial period ending on 30 June. The service operates every 15 minutes from 0700 to 1900 (7 to 7!) on weekdays, hence the route number 727, between Gungahlin Town Centre and Kingston Railway Station via Mitchell, Northbourne, City Interchange, Constitution Avenue, Russell, Barton and Wentworth Avenue. Although the 727 is the first service to operate every 15 minutes during all daylight hours in these suburbs, the route does duplicate other bus routes, most notably numbers 5 and 80, although the 727 does not service all stops.
