In a Ministerial reshuffle in late February, Rachel Nolan was promoted from the Transport Minister and the new Minister is Ms Annastacia Palaszczuk.Extra buses, drivers and two new routes were added to the public transport network to service Brisbane River ferry terminals because of flood damage. An extra 269 bus services a week were added to those already in place after the flood. Also two new interim routes have been added. These are a high frequency, peak only Route 233, Apollo Road-Brisbane CBD, and Route 234, Kangaroo Point-Brisbane CBD, running from 31 January until CityCat services return.
