Urban Rail Investment in China

In early September the central Government in China approved 25 new urban and intercity rail projects. The projects, most of which will take three to eight years, are expected to help revitalise the country's economy and improve the investment environment. Local governments will be major investors, and other financing channels mainly include bank loans.
