A study to analyse transport options for the Gungahlin to City Transit Project has suggested that peak hour traffic delays from Gungahlin to Civic could be halved if there was rapid transit along the main commuting corridor. Also public transport would travel about 30% faster than general traffic if either light rail or BRT options were installed along Flemington Road and Northbourne Avenue.
