On 16 January TfNSW released the first stage of real-time location of trains for developers. The data released covers the Sydney suburban area, excluding Waterfall Station and six stations from Rosehill to Carlingford. In future stages coverage will be expanded to outer metropolitan areas and will improve the range of data available through the existing real time train feed. TfNSW is working with a small team of developers to understand what external third parties' requirements are.
