Sydney Parramatta light Rail

On 8 December 2015 the NSW Government announced the initial outline of a 22 km light rail network that will connect Westmead Hospital, the Parramatta CBD, Western Sydney University, a new Camellia Town Centre, Sydney Olympic Park and Strathfield. There will also be a branch to Carlingford on the route of the current Carlingford Line. Work will now start on a final business case and assessment of the preferred network. The scope of this will include planning, design and consultation with stakeholders along the network to develop the staging of the project, the exact light rail route and stops, and the final project cost.
