摘要

A model was developed to estimate daily and annual evapotranspiration for all the vegetation, water, and soil types spanning a river basin. The specific objectives of this study were: to identify the characteristics and computational methodologies required to estimate river basin evapotranspiration, and to program and test a geographic information system based on the Penman-Monteith and the Kimberly-Penman combination evapotranspiration (E t ) computation methods. River basin daily and seasonal E t volumes computed by a geographic information system (GIS) modeling both the Penman-Monteith and the Kimberly-Penman combination methods were compared to the river basin annual water balance computed from the annual basin inflow from water imports and precipitation, decreased by the basin outflow and changes in basin aquifers
