Controlling chaos using the OGY method (an approach based on a partial time series)

This paper discusses the OGY method based on a chaotic time series that produces a return map of complicated structures. previous studies on this subject dealt only with relatively simple return maps of structures, such as a one-dimensional arc, because it is easy to calculate quantities required for the OGY method from the simple return map, but not from a complicated one. Since chaos arising in real system may not produce simple return maps, a method that produces a simple returen map suitable for the OGY method is needed.
